Our muNet lab participated in the E-Day on Oct 28, 2022 at the Engineering Quad. E-Day is an annual festival event where the College of Engineer at the University of Alabama showcases its faculty research achievements to the general public. Our two autonomous underwater vehicles drew quite some interests from the visitors, high school students and their parents. I thank all who participated in our E-Day station, including Murtaza Rizvi, Md. Rumman Rafi, Aswanth Sampathkumar, Brodie Alexander, Cassidy Baumann, Emily Briggs, and Shuai Dong. We had fun, talking our research and the potential applications in ocean exploration. Big Al visited our station too! Fun fact: One of our underwater vehicles is named Big Al, after the Crimson Tide mascot.
